It’s time for a wardrobe makeover!

Manage your wardrobe space

Before you can focus on the fun stuff, like deciding which shades and prints are must-haves this season, there's the little matter of dealing with all that unworn clothing taking up valuable space in your wardrobe. For this, you have two options:

Option 1: Storage

Fashion changes, and old trends have a way of coming back—at least, we hope they do! If you’re holding onto that bold printed blouse you’re certain will make a comeback, we’ve got a solution for you. Pack away anything you plan to wear next season into storage for safekeeping. Beds with storage drawers are perfect for this! Consider the Como Double Bed Storage for a contemporary space-saver right in your bedroom. With its underbed drawers, this queen bed is ideal for stowing away the clothes and shoes you’re sure you’ll eventually wear.

Option 2: Donate

You’d think this option would be a simple one, but we know how hard parting ways with clothing can be. You may no longer need something, but that doesn’t mean you don’t want it. Our solution to this problem? Try everything on! Have a fashion show right in your bedroom and try on the clothes you’re unsure about. It’s hard to justify keeping a piece of clothing when you’re standing in front of a mirror with a critical eye.

Doesn’t fit? Donate it! Don’t feel confident in it? Donate it!

Your clothes should make you feel happy and great! If something you own doesn’t tick the right boxes, donate it to a local charity service or give it to someone who needs it.

Effective Wardrobe Organization

Once you've completed the culling process and kept only the items you love, it's time to find a home for each clothing piece. The key to a well-maintained wardrobe is organization. A wardrobe with ample hanging space and dedicated drawers makes this process much easier. Our personal favourite is the Just Landed Garde Wardrobe Range, and we're confident you'll love it too

When selecting hangers, avoid thin wire hangers—they tend to leave marks on clothes and cause them to slip off easily. Instead, opt for wooden or plastic hangers to keep your wardrobe looking neat and to prevent clothes from falling onto the floor. Next, arrange your clothes thoughtfully. Place staple colours and essential pieces in the most accessible part of your wardrobe. This makes getting ready a breeze and ensures that you can easily grab what you need for a fuss-free morning.

Organize your clothes by type—shirts, jackets, dresses, and tees—and group them accordingly. Ensure that all hangers are facing the same way for a tidy appearance. Remember, not everything needs to be hung! Knits, shorts, and jumpers can be neatly folded or rolled up in a dresser or drawer.

By following these steps, you'll create a well-organized wardrobe that not only looks great but also makes your daily routine easier. Take a step back and look at how amazing your wardrobe looks now. Wasn’t that makeover worth it?
